If we process raw materials with steam during the working process of sawdust pellet mill, they will be softened and oil cell or tissues will be separated. The oil tissue becomes free and alleviates the wear of raw materials on press roller. Service life of easy-wearing parts can be ensured.
Usually, the steam pressure varies from 0.2MPa to 0.4MPa. The pressure changes with the material kind. To process materials with higher content of protein, we can use little steam pressure. While, to process materials with richer fibers inside, we can use higher steam pressure.
For the materials processed by water, their water content varies from 16% to 17%. The temperature of modulated material is better to be controlled from 78℃ to 87℃. The small distance between ring die and press roller can accelerate the surface wear, especially in the period that there is no burden in sawdust pellet mill.
Considering the factors like surface error between ring die and press roller, concentricity error between working interface and device interface, we think it is better to keep the distance between ring die and press roller from 0.2mm to 0.4mm. The 0.2mm distance is suitable for materials with smaller diameter or when new ring die is used.
Before using the new ring die, we should grind the discharging mouth with oil materials according to the demands in instructional books. The fineness of oil materials is dependent on the size of die holes. Usually, the size of die holes changes from 0.6mm to 1.5mm.
