Since these components are quite poor in the ability to absorb water, you should control the steam addition, control the temperature less than 60℃ and water content from 12% to 13%. The important part of modulating work is to add the steam at proper content. Steam quality can influence the quality of modulating work. If steam addition is too much, raw materials will become softened and is easy to block the die holes. If steam addition is sufficient, pasting degree of raw materials will be very poor. What’s worse, raw materials will be difficult to be pelletized. For processing different materials with different formula, you should add the steam in different amount during the modulating process.
